Firstly, Nathan - absolute LEGEND! A very attentive, polite waiter, a really great lad. We really enjoyed out trip to the lakes and places like Urban Food House helped massively. We have a sausage dog and many places around Windermere surprisingly don't let you in with a dog. At Urban Food our dog was made to feel welcome, Nathan found us a table with space and then got the dog a water bowl, happy days. We were by the kitchen, really happy bunch, I preferred their music to the restaurant music, was great to feed off of their happiness, loved it. One day we came in for mussels and we were too early, as a one off they discussed with the chef and served the Mrs mussels and they were incredible. Good food, good service, good beer good times. THANKS TEAM AND THANKS NATHAN!

We were let down by another restaurant and the Urban Food House was the perfect replacement. A great welcome, great service, and on top of that the food was 10/10. They were great with our dog bringing him a bowl of water and giving him a lovely greeting. I can’t explain how good the sauce was with the fish, amazing. Thanks team Urban Food!

Never been so happy to get lost at breakfast time. We originally had another location in mind and we couldn’t find it. We walked past this place and heard the great music outside, looked like an interesting menu & decided to go in. I’m not a breakfast person by any means but we came to Windermere for a short holiday and this breakfast sent us home smiling. There was only 1 front of house staff at the time so he was a little pre occupied but very friendly & managed well. We ordered 2 poached eggs on toast, Eggs Royale, Pancakes & their Urban Fried Chicken. For the price we saw we weren’t expecting much but when it arrive they were huge portions of high quality food. Everything was perfect! The eggs were cooked lovely, their homemade bread was amazing. The urban fried chicken was outstanding super crispy fluffy French toast with a chorizo jam which was unbelievably good packed with flavour and added that great sweet salty flavour that I love. All in all a great dining experience in a fantastic location. We saw they have some sister restaurants close by and so can’t wait to try those out too!! Will definitely be heading back!! Our order was: 2 x oat milk latte, 1 x decaf tea, 1 x flat white 1 x 2 poached eggs on toast 1 x egg royale 1 x urban fried chicken 1 x pancake stack With 10% discretionary service came to 66.

A very lovely place, extremely welcoming, attentive and professional staff member.We have ordered bruschetta, calamari and a soup which was delicious! Would definitely recommend for a quiet and cosy dinner

Nick who served us was very welcoming and he ensured all of our needs were met. Service was prompt despite being fairly busy. The lighting and atmosphere was subtle and inviting. We opted for the lamb and wasn't disappointed, lamb and vegetables were cooked perfectly and the shepherds pie was full of flavour. My partner enjoyed the blood orange sorbet and I would have ordered the sticky toffee pudding again if I hadn't of been so full. If we ever come back this way we would definitely visit again.

Really lovely staff. Gluten free bread available and they were able to advise me what was gluten free, peanut/nut free and shellfish (crustaceans) free. Staff were knowledgeable about what was in their food and double checked items to make sure I could eat them. They also seemed to genuinely be happy to see you as a customer. Had gluten free avacado on toast and they adjusted it slightly to be nut free also. Was delicious!

The most incredible food, varied menu with lots of beautiful ingredients. Tasted amazing, looked great, and felt spoilt for choice. Service was lovely and relaxed in a good way, nice atmosphere and lighting decoration and good music level. Wish I lived closer so I could come here every week.
